Wearing jewellery does not match all your outfits and sometimes you can wear too much. Other times you can wear too little, so it is all about finding a happy medium. There are many ways you can give your style something a bit extra but, one of the best ways is jewellery. Here is a little guide that will hopefully point you in the right direction for your style.

Find out which jewellery pieces you prefer

Adding a piece of jewellery to your style has to make you look good but can also make you feel more confident. You should always feel confident with what you are wearing and, you should never wear something because someone has told you to wear it.

One of the first things to do before you start wearing jewellery is find what you prefer. Earrings are not for everybody at the end of the day. Same with ring and chains/ necklaces. It is about what you think is the best addition to you and your outfit.

You should always go to a jewellery store if you want to buy a new piece of jewellery. The reason for this is because it can be expensive. Some places will not let you return jewellery after it has been worn so, make sure it is right before you buy it. Jewellery is a great way to enhance your beauty

Layer up your jewellery pieces

There is nothing wrong with putting multiple rings on or multiple necklaces. They have got to match your well with one another. There is no point in having a gold necklace with a silver one if it does not work. Keep it simple and keep the same material, just have them at different lengths.

Rings and earrings are the same as well. Having a gold ring and a silver ring on the same hand is something that you will want to avoid. Simply because it does not match well. Something that you can consider is two silver rings but one of them has a black band through the middle. This way, the colours do not clash and, can complement each other. Combining earrings are something else that you can do as well.

The best thing to do is try them out before you go out with them. Maybe even get another pair of eyes just to help with a bit of advice. There are many jewellery combinations out there that look great which you can layer up. But, there are many combinations that can look wrong as well. It is all about experimenting with the different styles.

Do not go overboard

There is such thing as going over the top with jewellery pieces as well. Wearing a necklace with a couple of rings is ok. But, wearing multiple jewellery pieces such as earrings, bracelets, watches and necklaces can be a bit too much.

If you are wearing vintage jewellery, these pieces tend to stand out a lot more. They are a lot busier and will tend to have more colours with them. For example, if you are wearing an emerald ring then try to go for a more subtle watch or bracelet as you do not want it to look too busy.

Same for necklaces. If you want to bring attention to your neck then try not to go overboard with the earrings or bracelets. Do not overcomplicate your style with too much jewellery.

Mix it up

Don’t always wear the same jewellery pieces. If you are one of those people that has a jewellery box then consider wearing different jewellery pieces. Different outfits match different jewellery pieces so again, make sure to experiment with the different outfits before you go out.

Once you take off those pieces then you can clean them as well. Look for the jewellery pieces that you have not worn in the while and surprise people with the different pieces that you have. Look out for the hottest jewellery trends that appeal to you the most as well, to keep up with the fashion industry.

Summary

Basically, you have got to experiment with different jewellery pieces to find the best that suits you. Another thing is experimenting with different materials. You do not need to wear the same material every time because it might not go with everything. Having a couple of pieces of jewellery in gold and a couple in silver is a great way to mix up your outfits.
